2. Drinks and Skyline Views at Reunion Tower or Monarch
Take in breathtaking views of the Dallas skyline from 470-feet in the air at the GeO-Deck in Reunion Tower. Book their Love is In the Air package to enjoy complimentary glasses of wine. For a classy and romantic date night, check out the Dallas Symphony. Their season includes something for everyone, whether you’re a fan of classical music, The Beatles, Star Wars or Christmas music. Plus, it’s a great excuse to get dressed up and enjoy a romantic dinner before the show. I love a fancy date night.
4. An Escape Room Experience
est your teamwork skills with an escape room experience. You’ll be locked in a themed room and tasked with solving puzzles, riddles and clues to find your way out before the time is up.
There are escape rooms all over Dallas:
- Escape The Room Dallas in Preston Forest Village
- Escapology in Victory Park
- Project Panic at The Shops at Park Lane
- PanIQ on Belt Line Road
5. Drinks and Games at TopGolf
Enjoy great food and drinks while playing a fun game of Topgolf. Topgolf combines golf, darts and bowling into one unique sport. Every ball has a microchip, and you get points for hitting dartboard-like targets. The closer you get to the bullseye, the more points you get. I always recommend Topgolf when couples ask for date night ideas in Dallas.
6. Bowling at Bowl & Barrel
Bowl & Barrel isn’t your typical bowling alley. Offering an upscale boutique bowling experience, the venue has 15 lanes and a full restaurant and bar. Sip on a cocktail or craft beer while you bowl the night away. I love the industrial vibe of this place, and the food is excellent, too.
7. Axe Throwing at Bad Axe
Nothing says “I care” like an axe-throwing competition. Bad Axe, located on Grand Avenue, has walk-in hours for date nights, so you don’t have to book ahead. The venue has six lanes, and they serve beer and wine. Bring your own food to make your date night complete.
8. Zip Lining at Trinity Forest Adventure Park
If you’re looking for something more adventurous, I highly recommend Trinity Forest Adventure Park. There’s zip lining and high rope courses for people of all skill levels. General admission gets you three hours of adventure in the park and includes the rental of all your gear.
9. Music and Fun at Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar
Dueling piano bars are so much fun. Live music, laughs, sing-alongs and drinks – what more could you ask for? Two pianos duel it out while the crowd sings and everyone gets into it. Check out Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar in Addison for a fun date night.
10. Take a Ghost Bar Tour
Chase spirits while you sip on spirits with a 2.5-hour walking tour through the historic district. A costumed guide leads the tour, where you’ll stop at some of the city’s most haunted spots and hear the stories behind each legend.
11. Take a Wine Education and Tasting Class
If you and your special someone love wine, why not take a wine education or tasting class? The Art of Wine regularly holds classes both in Dallas and online. Even if you can’t get out for the night, you can plan a fun at-home date night and learn something new.
12. Take a Cheesemaking Class
Learn something new together at a cheesemaking class. MozzCo on Elm St. regularly hosts hands-on cheesemaking classes, but they also have beer and cheese and wine and cheese pairing classes. Learn how to make fresh mozzarella and Queso Oaxaca – and take all of your cheese home after class.
13. Visit the Flight Museum
The Frontiers of Flight Museum has so many things to see and do. There are so many exhibits to check out from galleries to aircrafts, missiles, spacecrafts and virtual experiences. There are more than 40 space and air vehicles to see, and over 35,000 historical artifacts.
14. Play Detectives at a Murder Mystery Dinner
If you’re looking for unique and engaging date night ideas, book a murder mystery dinner. We’re fortunate to have quite a few options in Dallas:
Enjoy a multi-course dinner while you try to figure out whodunit.

Dinner, jousting, knights sword-fighting – need I say more? Medieval Times is always a fun evening, and even if your knight doesn’t win, you’ll walk away with laughs, memories and a full belly.
16. Go on a Blind Dinner Date
If you’re tired of the usual dinner dates, try Dining in the Dark. The pop-up event at Fairmont blindfolds guests as they eat, which forces you to focus on the flavors and textures of the food. They have different secret menus (vegan, seafood and meat), so there’s something for everyone.
17. Hang with the Goats at Bonton Farms
