If you’ve been considering a Multnomah Falls Engagement, don’t think. Do it.
This session took place on December 16th, 2018. And if you know Portland, you know that outdoor engagement photos in December can be risky. You never know if it will rain, shine, or snow (based on our last couple winters here in Portland). And these two were up for the adventure! Plus — a Multnomah Falls Engagement is always gorgeous. Rain or shine. Oh yeah – I almost forgot: it did rain that day. But you can hardly tell in the photographs, right!?
Since their wedding is taking place in San Antonio, Texas, we wanted to capture the engagement photos around Portland. This way, they could have a good contrast in scenery between the engagement photos and wedding photos. Now, although Multnomah Falls is a perfect spot for engagement photos, we didn’t want to settle for one location. Following Multnomah Falls we went to the Downtown Portland area (Tilikum Crossing bridge and the Eastbank Esplanade) to capture the more urban side of town! After downtown, the daylight started fading away. So then we drove up to Pittock Mansion – which ended up being a beautiful finale to this session.
Aside from the beautiful scenery Multnomah Falls has to offer, I just love the way you can feel the pure, authentic emotion pouring out through the interaction in these photos. Through the entire 3-hour session, these two kept up the energy and love. And it shows in their photos.
I’m beyond excited to get to fly out to San Antonio this April to capture Olivia and Brian’s wedding! Getting a change of pace will be nice, and I’m looking forward to warmer, sunnier, Texas weather!
